A route that starts from Lavagna on a scenic asphalt road with a constant slope and reaches Mount San Giacomo via paths strewn with olive groves and ancient creuze, once trodden by the ‘lavagnine’ (local women who were responsible for transporting slabs of slate from the quarries to the sea). From Mount San Giacomo, the trail follows the ridge to Mount Capenardo, one of the most scenic points in the area, with a 360-degree view of the surrounding area: of the entire Tigullio Gulf and the mountains of the Val D’Aveto regional natural park. Once on Mount Rocchetta, the descent begins to the splendid Selva di Sestri Levante plain on a single track. Here you have various alternatives for the descent to the sea: an easy dirt road mixed with asphalt; an intermediate level single track; a descent on the famous Sestri Levante tracks overlooking the sea, frequented by the many bikers who love strong emotions (S’Anna, Mimose, Ca’ Gianca, Loto).
